Dessert Bar for Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
Our high school hosted a Dessert Bar for our staff. Our theme was: We have Fallen for our Staff, since it was in the fall.
We asked parents to send 35 different desserts, for our 350 staff members. (figured on 10 servings per dessert). Also asked for 6 bags of Chex Mix.
Also, since we have no budget and no PTO, we asked for Dessert Plates, Forks, Cups, and Napkins.
We served Iced Tea. Can brew through a coffee maker and put in a serving pitcher, or have gallons of tea purchased, or have businesses donate. I brought tea bags, different sugars, and borrowed a rolling cooler from the school, and got ice from the cafeteria.
Invitations were place in the Teachers boxes a week in advance to announce the event. This was my first event, so invites aren't cute.

This is event I was following what the prior Hospitality Committee did. Now I do things my way.
The afternoon before we decorate the room!
6:30 we start setting up the table, school starts at 7:25. A few volunteers to help with set up.
We never NEVER turn someone away that walks in the room early. Things may not be pretty yet, but our staff doesn't get much time to get away from their desk or to travel around our large school. This is event is for them to enjoy!
During our lunch time, ask a few volunteers to come and stay through clean up.
