Holiday Ham

Holiday Baked Ham

  • 1 large cured ham with bone left in (I like spiral cut)
  • 1/2 gal blackberry wine
  • 2 c bourbon
  • 2 cans crushed pineapple (juice all)
  • 1 c brown sugar

Place ham in an electric roaster, not in the stove oven.  Pour the wine and bourbon over ham, also the pineapple and brown sugar.  Mix it up with wine and bourbon.  Cook on low heat 6 to 7 hours until done; every 30 minutes go by and spoon the juices over top of ham.  When done take out.  Cover with brown sugar, pineapple juice and black pepper.  Can decorate with pineapple rings and cherries.  Bake in oven on 350 until brown.

Better cooked the day before you serve.  All the alcohol contents cook out. This is our family's holiday ham!

AKA: I call it the Drunken Ham!  Love, Aunt Tiffine
