Fried Chicken



Fried Chicken

  • 1 Tbsp Paprika
  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Chicken
  • 2 Tbsp Parsley
  • 1 c buttermilk
  • All Purpose flour
  • vegetable oil for frying

Mix seasonings. Place chicken in 13x9 pan, and sprinkle with spices. Coat both sides.  Pour milk over chicken.  Cover and refrigerate a few hours, better overnight.

Pour oil into lg skillet with at least 1" of oil, heat on medium high. Preheat oven to 350.
Remove chicken from marinade.  In a large bowl, put 2 cups of flour (replenish as needed). Cover chicken in flour.
Add chicken, when oil sizzles when placed in pan.  Don't crowd the pan.  Cook on each side until light brown.  Remove chicken and put on cooling rack or paper towels.
Put fried chicken into CLEAN 13x9 dish and place in oven for 40 minutes.

No more pink insides!
